Team Elie and Team Olive did no barking or woofing despite strangers' dogs coming over uninvited. They kept their cool and sought each other out.

Amazing light over #knutsford tonight and great #mantrailing from four lovely teams. And what a moon!

Team Leif graduated from scent enhancements despite Mum thinking he didn't have it together... teamwork shone through!

Team Mani took difficulties and cut them out to find his hidden people with some lovely recognition of his behaviour when making decisions from his partner.

Team Heidi gave lovely indications and was spot on finding her hidden people and pets.

Team Opal, despite taking in water features and a little break for a roll, made light work of finding their hidden runners in the dark.

Lovely trails from all teams with junctions, gates, backtracks, loops, and other challenges all handled well.

Rainbows and no rain over Knutsford this evening with some fantastic teams.

Team Leif started their trailing journey together with Team Rhu wanting to know what he was missing out on. Leif showed he has a nose too and shows great promise as a contender though! Well done!

Team Harry had lots of new experiences with difficulties, junctions and new ways of working to contend with. This didn't stop him finding a tricky runner or his first dog! Great trailing!

To top the evening it was fab seeing the lovely Team Bear graduate to no scent enhancements. On his local patch he wanted to ensure he had all the local info left during the day but kept his focus and despite a bit of time passing since his last trail, remembered the game and smashed it!

And the torrential downpours stopped before we started so we just had rainbows to watch ❤️

Woah, we were dodging the rain for a fantastic afternoon trailing in #sandbach. It was really exciting proving just how amazing our dogs' noses are. How? Well, we introduced not just one, but two short-nosed breeds to trailing, a pug, and a chow chow, and they smashed it!

Team Millie started their trailing journey, and oh my, has Millie got a nose on her! It will be exciting to see just what challenges she can face in future, super-confident searching from a dog nervous of her surroundings.

Team Aphy also started their trailing journey and showed us that Chow Chows still have a nose so much more superior than ours and found her lost people without fuss.

Team Pree, however, makes a big fuss when finding her missing people but only to tell us to make it trickier next time! Starting trailing with a dog that has a disadvantage compared to other longer-nosed breeds, Pree showed us she is more than capable and smashed her trails.

Not to be outdone, Team Stan hadn't trailed in a while, and although only completed a starter session previously, they nailed it and found their person without scent enhancements... graduating to lost people, leaving fewer clues in the future.

We really did dodge the showers, and all teams did amazingly. Well done!

What do trailing dogs do when they aren't trailing? In Samson's case it's agility. He had a cracking show at the weekend with a clear runs, two being first places including a Crufts qualifier.

Team Rhu did their second pet trail, and there was no hanging around when finding his lost pet tonight.

Team Billy 'spanieled' in pursuit of their hidden pet, smashing their first pet trail.

They set the trail for Team Freya to add difficulty, but Team Freya was not being out-smarted, so they made light work of finding Billy.

Team Heidi found their way through town to their lost pet, checking out some of the evening revellers first.

The Teams all went on to find their 'missing' people using some more challenging scent articles.

All in all, a great evening closing with a proper dark finish, which added further challenge for the teams.

They set the trail for Team Freya to add difficulty, but Team Freya was not being out-smarted, so they made light work of finding Billy.

Team Heidi found their way through town to their lost pet, checking out some of the evening revellers first.

Summer days in #sandbach #mantrailing (we dodged the downpours at least!).

Team Bruce started cautiously, but by the end of the session, he was confident to take his reward from his hidden stranger, and the team showed they had the makings of a super trailing team.

Team Axel showed what scent hounds do in their spare time wanting no reward for finding his hidden person but just wanted to show how his nose works whilst firmly along the ground. Team Axel will no doubt exxel as his focus on the trail develops.

Team Tobey proves that our dogs don't forget. It's been several months since Tobey last trailed but the team smashed it through a busy urban area and then searching for his 'lost' pet always as if they needed finding fast (they did!).

Great work from all teams and a real pleasure to introduce two new teams to our addictive pursuit. Trailing is confidence-building and calming for our dogs. By working with their primary sense of smell we give them enrichment that plays to their strengths.
